Abstract:
The initial conditions that give rise to structure formation
are now well constrained and we know that the Universe is
dominated by dark energy and dark matter.
However several problems remain: Astronomers have only
identified and understood one percent of the Universe and
we are also unsure how the matter in the Universe arranges itself into
stars, planets and galaxies. Recent supercomputer calculations have
allowed us to make substantial progress in these areas.
