Abstract:
The origin of the mass of elementary particles is one of the most pressing questions in particle physics. The most favoured explanation of mass is given by the Higgs mechanism with accompanying elementary Higgs particles. The challenges and prospects for discovering a Higgs particle at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the possibilites to determine its properties at the LHC and the International Linear Collider (ILC) will be discussed.
