Abstract:
Discoveries of extra-solar planets is one of the great scientifically and
philosophical undertaking of our time. Today more than 250 extra-solar
planets have been found.
The results gather so far have uncovered the unexpected diversities of
planet characteristics and orbital parameters severely challenging planetary
formation theories based on the solar system studies. In this conference I
shall review the many discoveries of this young field of researches in
astrophysics.
