The Supersymmetric Standard Model Facing Precision Experiments

Abstract:
The supersymmetric version of the Standard Model is the theoretically best motivated scenario of physics beyond the Standard Model. SUSY forms a bridge between the electroweak scale and the Planck scale and it allows to further unify the fundamental forces. As a renormalizable quantum field theory, the supersymmetric Standard Model provides accurate predictions for precisely measurable quantities, including a light Higgs boson, that allow indirect access to the yet unknown SUSY partners. Precision measurements at future colliders will also allow to extrapolate to the very high energy scale, thus exploring the origin of SUSY breaking and testing Grand Unification.
