Abstract:
The Standard Model of particle physics can be tested by precision
measurements with neutrons. Recent achievements and projects of
particle physics with cold neutrons at the Institut Laue Langevin
will be presented: Measurements of correlations in neutron decay
permitting searches for right handed contributions to the weak
interaction, to determine the quark mixing matrix element V_ud,
and to test time-reversal invariance. The electric dipole moment
of the neutron is another sensitive probe for time-reversal
violation. A new project for its measurement based on the strong
interplanar electric fields in some crystals will be discussed.
