Abstract:
The Fermilab Tevatron is currently the accelerator with the highest
energy reach. Since a year a new phase in its operation has started
based on major upgrades of both the accelerator complex and the CDF
and D0 detectors. The status of data taking will be reviewed and the
prospects for physics results before LHC take-off will be summarised.
Particular emphasis is given to the hopes for discovering the Higgs
boson.
