Abstract:
Since more than ten years B-Factories have studied a large number
of processes involving heavy quarks and leptons, with a host of
results ranging from the measurement of CP violation in B decays,
to the discovery of D-mixing, and the observation of a new spectroscopy,...
SuperB is an e+e- experiment expected to take place in Torvergata,
close to Rome, Italy, with the goal of increasing the luminosity of
two orders of magnitude with respect to the previous generation of
Flavour-Factories and to extend the studied center-of-mass energy
range. This seminar will describe the physics goals of the experiment,
the ongoing detector R&D and the status of the project.
