Abstract:
Is parity a fundamental symmetry of nature? Why gravity is so weak?
What is the origin of dark matter in the Universe?
It is surprising that low energy small-scale experiments can address
these and other important open questions in fundamental science.
I will review recently performed or planned experiments, focusing in
particular on searches for invisible
decays of positronium and muon, solar axions and hidden sector photons
that test various new physics ideas and models (large extra
dimensions, (mirror) dark matter, new low-mass scale particles, etc.)
Applications of developed experimental techniques to
materials researches will be discussed.
