Abstract:
Quantum teleportation may look like magic! It is, however, a marvellous
manifestation of entanglement, that is of basic quantum physics. After
an elementary introduction, an experiment recently performed in Geneva
will be presented. Some consequences, both conceptual (quantum
nonlocality) and for applications (quantum cryptography), will be
discussed.
