Abstract:
The most important results and the underlying science of the 4th Assessment
Report of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change are presented.
The causal relationship between observed increase of atmospheric greenhouse
gas concentrations and warming is determined by the use of comprehensive
climate models simulating the 20th century. Using the same models, the
evolution of the climate system in the 21st century is estimated.
