Abstract:
Indirect searches for new heavy particles in precision measurements in the
flavour sector are a complementary approach to the direct searches at the
high intensity frontier, currently carried out by the ATLAS and CMS
experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. LHCb is a dedicated B and charm
physics experiment devoted to reveal New Physics phenomena in quantum loop
induced effects. The performance of the experiment is far beyond
expectation.
Its result supercedes in most analysis
the precision of all previous B physics experiments.
This talk will summarize the latest heavy flavour physics results
from the LHCb-experiment and give an outlook on future plans.
