Abstract:
We discuss the extraction of the proton rms-radii and Zemach moments
from the world-data on electron-proton scattering. The resulting proton
charge radius shows a pronounced discrepancy with the result obtained from
the PSI data for muonic Hydrogen. We also address the shortcomings of
the standard determinations of the charge radius, and show how a more
reliable value can be obtained using information on the tail of the
proton density at large radii.
